Grief is often thought of as the response to the death of a loved one, but it extends far beyond this. It is a normal and natural reaction to any significant change or loss, touching areas of life that range from the loss of a pet or a job to experiences of divorce, illness, financial hardship, or even the loss of trust, safety, or faith.

Grief can arise from transitions like moving, graduating, or the end of important relationships, and even from less recognized losses such as the loss of personal belongings, security, or hope. Because grief is so often associated solely with bereavement, people may not recognize these varied experiences as legitimate sources of sorrow and healing needs. This misunderstanding can leave individuals feeling isolated or invalidated, unable to find the support they need as they navigate what is, in reality, a universal and deeply human response to loss in all its forms.

As a Grief Recovery Specialist, I offer empathetic and transformative support to individuals navigating the deep and often overwhelming experience of loss.
